Was Vista a Failure Windows 7 will hit store shelves in 2009

Windows 7 will hit store shelves sometime next year. And if I had to guess exactly when it would happen, November 2 would be my answer. Microsoft has failed to gain users with Vista. Now as Vista as a failure they will try again with a new system called Windows 7. Microsoft says 7 will be like Vista but Better. How so Microsoft? Is Microsoft going downhill? Is Apple taking over?
